DIY All Natural Face Wash for Acne Prone Skin
This DIY all-natural face wash is simple to make and effective at both fighting and preventing breakouts.
Desperate for an improvement in my skin, I tried countless beauty brands promising to help diminish an ongoing battle with acne. None of them ever worked and the chemicals and toxins only added to the issue.
TIME FOR AN OVERHAUL
After more than 20 years of struggling with acne, I decided it was time for a new approach. I started focusing on healing my body from the inside out. I also simplified my skincare regimen by taking it back to the basics.
This simple recipe is what I use to cleanse my face both morning and evening. It is a gentle cleanser that will effectively remove makeup and dirt, but won’t strip your skin of its natural oils.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup filtered water
- ¼ cup castille soap
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp jojoba oil
- 20 drops Tea Tree Oil
- 20 drops Lavender Oil
- Amber glass bottle with pump
Directions
Add the ingredients in the order listed and mix gently.
The mixture will separate, so give it a gentle shake before each use. Discard after a month and make a fresh batch!
Remember that all skin types are different. This combination works great for me, but feel free to alter the oils. You could add 1/4 cup more water and use a foaming soap dispenser.
